Almost 120 years ago, the Escolapias Mothers bought the farm where the Calasanz school is located, located on Santiago 29 street in Alcalá de Henares, which has been operating without interruption since it opened its doors.

Few fellow citizens know that at the Colegio de las Escolapias we have a “jewel” that we dream of recovering, enhancing and making it accessible to the people of Alcalá and to all those who visit our beautiful city. It is the wooden staircase decorated in the style of the court of Napoleon III of France, which Jean Laurent, the previous owner of the estate, ordered to be built in the mid-19th century.
